Well in my case I choose not to comment unless I have something pertinent to say, rather than commenting for the sake of making a comment...the same way I am with LJ for example, or in a meeting when the floor is opened for commentary. While I may be someone who likes to talk and offer my opinion, I don't just open my mouth for the sake of opening my mouth *grin*

Besides some posts end up being almost a conversation between two people, and that means there is little anyone else could chime in with. Or little anyone else could chime in with that wouldn't be dreck.

Eh... in this world, those type of rules only apply to certain areas. The general forum, for example, is a place where mindless chatter happens. The other parts of the forums are where it is left for more in-depth conversations.
